Biography:
Unnikrishnan Raveendran Nair was born in Thiruvanathapuram, India, in 1989. He got his Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics from Kerala University (India) in 2011 and later worked for two years in Indian oil. He completed his Masters in Power Electronics and Drives from Aalborg University (Denmark) in 2015. During his Masters he was involved in projects for control of grid connected wind power systems and high frequency converter design for dielectric heating. Afterwards, he worked as Research Assistant at Aalborg University, where he was involved in the IEPE project. He worked in the development of high frequency SiC power modules and the design of RF power converters to be used in Float Zone application for ultra-pure silicon wafer manufacturing. In December 2016 he joined UPC in Barcelona for his doctoral studies in Control and Management of Storage Elements in micro-grids under the INCITE project.
