INCITE Kick-off meeting held at IREC

On 14th January 2016, the Kick-off meeting of the project INCITE (Innovative controls for renewable source integration into smart energy systems) took place at IREC.

The first face-to-face meeting served to review the vision and mission of the project as well as the steps needed to implement the action. Representative from IREC, UPC, TU Delft, VITO, Universita di Bologna, GE Global Research, Efacec Energia and 3E presented their institutions and their participation in the project. During the meeting, the coordinator presented the work plan, the responsibilities and deadlines to carry out the action. The eight beneficiary partners agreed a number of managerial issues, like the definition of the last details in order to initiate the recruitment of the Early Stage Researchers, which started in the last weeks of January 2016. The impact of the project and the dissemination and communication strategy were also reviewed including the presentation of the website, a key tool in the communication plan. At the end of the meeting, a general overview of the planning to train the fourteen Early Stage Researchers was presented as well as the next steps were discussed.


Overall, the kick-off meeting established the basis for the cooperation and interactions among partners to implement the action in the next four years.
