Miguel Picallo Cruz was born in Barcelona in 1988. He studied a double degree in applied Mathematics and Industrial Engineering from UPC, where he specialized himself in control theory. He also graduated from a Master of Science at Stanford University in 2013, focusing on operations research and machine learning. He worked at Accenture Analytics as data scientist and afterwards at Arcvi as a founding partner, developing in both projects about mathematical modelling and big data analysis for international companies. As part of the INCITE network and pursuing his PhD at TU Delft, he started his PhD as researcher at GE Global Research in Munich, Germany, now he is at EFACEC in Porto, Portugal.
